ABOUT INSTRUCTOR

Hey folks, Gaurav this side, your piano teacher with 3+ years of teaching experience. I’m very passionate about giving students a fun, exciting, creative start to their piano lesson experience. I teach piano and music theory with my own effective methods covering syllabus of Trinity College London which ensures that you will be an expert in understanding the whole music theory with ability to play piano like a professional pianist. The piano lessons will give you a solid handle on: ->The importance of finding connections between aspects of Music (e.g., theory, aural, composition, etc.) ->Dynamics of Music ->Articulation in Music(Musical Punctuations) ->The Virtuoso-Pianist Exercises The learning areas that will be covered in the piano lessons: Play by ear – Understanding how music works, memorize patterns rather than pieces, recognition of chord progressions & intervals, just listen and play Sight Reading(Basics only) - The practice of reading and performing of a piece in a music notation that the performer has not seen or learned before. Trinity College London Syllabus - Technical Work of all Grades( from Initial to Grade 8) Music Theory - The methods and concepts that used in creating and performing music Ear Training (Aural Skills) - To identify pitches, intervals, melody, chords, rhythms, solfeges, and other basic elements of music, solely by hearing. Intervals – Introduction, types of intervals(horizontal, linear, or melodic, naming Scales – Common and uncommon scales including majors, minors, blues, pentatonic, whole tone, chromatic & diminished with their complete details Modes – Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian Thaats and Ragas - Indian classical music/Bollywood classical songs Chords – All combinations of basic and advanced chords including 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th with their respective inversions Broken Chords and Arpeggios – 1000+ hand coordination exercises Extended chords/ tensions– 9th, 11th & 13th (Expert level chords) Miscellaneous techniques - Such as 3rds of scales, reharmonization, dominant chords etc. Circle of fifths- Describes relationship between different pitches in music. Basic, intermediate and advanced level left had patterns- 100 + left hand accompaniments and improvisation styles Preparatory exercises for the acquirement of -Agility-Independence-Strength-Perfect Evenness in the fingers AND... Many cool concepts and tricks included ? NOTE: Every person requires a different amount of time period to gain knowledge of music theoretically and practically. It varies depends on person to person and their attitude towards learning and practicing the technical work. If you put a time limit on it, if not taken seriously, the purpose remains unfulfilled.
